Your book, your lesson

Take a photo of the word list in your textbook, whatever the language. Text recognition runs on your device and the photo never leaves it. Then you learn exactly the words you are doing at school right now.

Strict, but fair

No tolerance for typos, but well-thought-out exceptions: brackets are optional, articles are required, word forms are tested too. Etappe7 shows exactly what was missing, letter by letter.

Seven stages to “got it for good”

Right? One stage on. Wrong? Back to the start. Every word comes back just when you were about to forget it – after 1, 3, 7, 14, 30 and 90 days.

    Ten new words: type, match, practise – only then stage 1.

  • Both directions

    Foreign language → German and back, each direction with its own progress.

  • Forms and grammar

    Genitive, principal parts, irregular verbs – whatever the book asks for is tested.

  • Retype, objection, “partly correct”

    A typo? Type it again once. Checked too strictly? Object – the parents decide. Missed a secondary meaning? Again tomorrow.

With responsibility: your word creature is fed by the words you learn, grows from egg to legend and learns tricks – fluff, dragon, cat, owl, rabbit, penguin, dog and more. Forget it and you’ll notice: it grumbles, falls asleep and eventually moves out.

Totally relaxed: your figure – knight, astronaut, pirate, ninja, viking and more, each as he or she – gets new gear with every rank. Reach your daily goal and the campfire blazes. You can’t lose anything.

You earn treats or coins by learning and playing. The shop has hats, glasses, banners, companions and scenery – plus secrets you can only get by discovering them.

Every game uses the words you already know – on your own, two players on one device or live against friends.

    The right answer falls from the sky. Tap it before it lands – it keeps getting faster.

    A word lands next to its meaning – pop, both burst. Chains score double.

    Every right answer pulls the rope your way. Two players on one phone or live.

Learn together, play against each other

Friends can only join with a one-time code – for children, parents give their consent. Then you cheer each other on, reach weekly goals together, visit each other with your pet or figure and go head to head live. If your friend isn’t around, you play against their ghost.
